Some New Generative AI features added to Google Chrome

Google is all set to bring AI usage into its products and services. The search giant is pushing artificial intelligence-based features into compatible products including Chrome, Android, and others. Apart from UI-based and performance updates, Google is introducing several new AI features for Chrome users. Google Chrome is introducing three AI features in its latest release. Users on Mac and Windows PCs in the US can use these features.

Tab Groups

• This new update enhances the AI capabilities of the browser, while improving the browsing experience. Tab Organizer automatically creates tab groups based on open tabs, streamlining the browsing experience. This feature will help in grouping all the tabs related to the same search into one tab group. New generative AI features take the existing tab group feature to a whole new level.

Custom Themes

• This update allows users to create custom themes with AI using a text-to-image diffusion model. Google Chrome’s AI capabilities provide support for creating wallpapers and custom themes. Users can also use uploaded photos to create new themes.

Help for Write

• The AI-powered writing assist feature from this update helps users draft content on the web with suggested text. Users can right-click a text box or field on any site and select “Help me write.”

These features aim to increase browsing efficiency while maintaining personalization. AI and ML integration is expected to bring further improvements to Chrome. New AI features enhance the functionality as well as customizability of the Chrome browser.
