Samsung: Update Support Ending and Downgraded for Some Devices

Samsung has recently released the February 2024 security patch update for its devices. With the help of this update, the bugs and problems found are rectified, and along with this, privacy and security are also upgraded.

The list of devices eligible for monthly, quarterly, and biennial security updates has been upgraded by Samsung. The list sees the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Galaxy Tab Active 5 being added to the list on a monthly schedule. Additionally, others have been reduced from a quarterly schedule to a biennial schedule and some devices have been removed entirely.

Galaxy Tab S6 has been removed from the list. No update will be released for Galaxy Tab S6. Updates will be provided only if any fatal security vulnerabilities are found in the operating system.

Along with this, Galaxy A01 has also been removed from the list. Updates will also not be issued to Galaxy A01. Additionally, Galaxy Tab A8 and Galaxy A03 devices will receive security updates twice every year for the remaining support period.
