OnePlus 9R has started receiving the August 2024 Security update which is being rolled out only for the Indian variant. This update brings new features to the smartphone and fixes the general bugs found.

OnePlus 9R August 2024 Update

The August 2024 security update for the OnePlus 9R comes with the official version LE2101_14.0.0.602(EX01). After this latest update, users can also choose not to show tracks when creating a lock screen pattern to unlock the device. This update has optimized power consumption to boost battery life.

This update improves the performance of home screen widgets. This update is fixing all the issues where system data was taking up too much storage space. Apart from this, this update also fixes the issue where the volume slider in quick settings and the slider triggered by pressing the physical volume button were visible at the same time.

The issue of auto brightness turning on automatically has also been fixed and the issue of pressing the volume button twice and not launching the camera has also been fixed. The issue of birthdays not syncing from contacts to calendar events has also been fixed.
