Nothing Rolls out Android 14 based Nothing OS 2.5 update for Phone 2

Nothing keeps introducing updates to improve the experience of its users. Along with this, Nothing released Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.0 some time ago, after this Nothing has recently started releasing Nothing OS 2.5.

Nothing started training the latest software update about 2 months ago. Nothing has recently started releasing the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 update for its Nothing Phone 2.

Details of this recently released update have been shared by Nothing. According to the description, the update is rolling out starting with version 2.5.1. The installation package of this update is approximately 210 MB.

Adaptation

A combined home screen and lock screen customization page was redesigned and the editing wallpaper flow was improved for a more comprehensive view of options.
New Atmosphere Wallpaper Effect: Change your background photo into a dynamic wallpaper that brings movement to the colors on your home screen. A seamless transition between your lock and home screens.
New Glass Wallpaper Effect: Add a Glass filter to give your favorite wallpaper a unique look.
Solid-colored wallpapers were introduced to give the home screen a cleaner look.
Added a monochrome color theme to the Basic Colors section.

Glyph Interface

Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar. Keep track of your upcoming events with a 5-minute countdown on the Glyph interface.
Glyph Timer now supports time presets, allowing you to instantly set your desired duration.
You can now access Glyph Timer directly from the lock screen without unlocking the device.
Added option to open the glyph timer popup by tapping instead of holding to adjust the quick settings widget.
Added a new glyph animation when NFC is being used.
Improved the flip-to-glyph experience.

Signal

Double-press the customizable power button for quick access to a selected feature. Just go to Settings >. System > Gestures.
More lock screen shortcut options like Do not disturb, Mute, QR code scanner, and Video camera.
Capture a screenshot instantly with a three-finger swipe.
New screenshot editor and menus, allowing more advanced editing features and quick deletion.

More Improvements

Optimized the Weather app experience and improved notifications of weather alerts.
Refreshed the back gesture arrow visuals to be in line with Nothing’s style.
With the updated volume control interface, it became possible to set the ringtone and notification sound volumes separately.
Updated quick settings layout and support to show more device icons.
Camera stability improved.
Enhanced overall system stability for a more reliable and seamless experience.
