Nothing has started rolling out a new update for the Nothing Phone 2a, this update can be known by the official build version Nothing OS 2.5.6. This update also includes the May 2024 Google security patch.

This new update brings new features, improvements, and fixes to the bugs and issues found in the device. This update improves the user experience by improving the device’s stability, functionality, and performance.
The update improves the security of the device by bringing the 2024 Google security patch. Apart from this, this update optimizes the camera auto HDR detection logic.
This update introduces a “hide navigation bar” feature to the device. Apart from this, Nothing has added a new option to allow or disable vibration for other calls or notifications during a call.

This update also resolves some bugs and problems found in the device. These include compatibility issues with Android Auto, the screen not turning on automatically after using the power button during a call, issues found in the ChatGPT widget, etc.
