Nothing has started rolling out the September 2024 Update for the Nothing Phone 2. This latest update comes with new features and bug fixes. With this update, users will get a better and smoother experience from the device.

Nothing Phone 2 September 2024 Update

The September 2024 security patch for the Nothing Phone 2 is released with the official version Nothing OS 2.6 240828-1751. After this latest update, the battery and pedometer widgets can now be transparent on the lock screen and Always On Display.

The update also adds a new Reporter widget that will read daily news aloud to users. The update fixes all the issues that were hampering connectivity and making calls.

This update fixes an issue where the zoom slider was set to the display while recording a video on the camera. This update also improves system stability and functionality. The official changelog related to this update is listed below:

Swipe down incoming notifications to enter the pop-up view. This allows easy access to information without having to leave an app. Turn it on via Settings > System > Pop-up view.
Enable vibration for third-party apps during calls. Turn it on via Settings > Sound and Vibration> Vibration.
Battery and Pedometer Widgets can now be displayed on the lock screen and Always On Display.
