Nothing Phone 1 is now getting the stable Android 14 update with Nothing OS 2.5

Android 14 based updates were being introduced by Nothing to improve the experience of its users. Due to that, Nothing has released Android 14 based stable update for its first smartphone Nothing Phone 1. For Nothing Phone 1 users, this update comes with the stable update of Nothing OS 2.5.

This update has been officially announced by Nothing. Recently this update is being released by the company in batches. This update has been released for only a few uses, soon this update will be released for all other Nothing Phone 1 uses.

Nothing has recently released this update for the users who are using the Beta version. This update is being introduced with new improvements and mounts. Soon all users will be eligible for it.

Nothing has released a changelog of new features and changes introduced by Android 14 based stable Nothing OS 2.5, which is mentioned below:

Customization

A combined home screen and lock screen customization page was redesigned and the editing wallpaper flow was improved for a more comprehensive view of options.
New Atmosphere Wallpaper Effect: Change your background photo into a dynamic wallpaper that brings movement to the colors on your home screen. A seamless transition between your lock and home screens.
Solid colored wallpapers were introduced to give the home screen a cleaner look.
Added a monochrome color theme to the Basic Colors section.

Glyph Interface

Get direct access to the music visualization feature of the Glyph interface (some of you may have already discovered it).
Improved the overall Glyph Lite playback effect when synchronized with your device’s audio.
Added a new glyph animation when NFC is being used.
Improved the flip to glyph experience.

Gesture

Double-press the customizable power button for quick access to a selected feature. Simply go to Settings > System > Gestures.
More lock screen shortcut options like Do Not Disturb, Mute, QR Code Scanner and Video Camera.
Capture a screenshot instantly with a three-finger swipe.
New screenshot editor and menus, allowing more advanced editing features and quick deletion.
Refreshed the back gesture arrow visuals to be more in line with Nothing’s style.

Quick Settings

Added support for switching ring mode in quick settings.
Now you can set up your network directly through quick settings without unlocking the device.
Updated the quick settings layout and support to show more device icons.

New Widgets

Pedometer widget: Track your daily steps straight from your home screen. Set goals and monitor your progress to stay motivated.
Media Player Widget: Displays the currently playing song. Easily control your music while on the go.
Screen Time Widget: Monitor and manage your daily screen time to maintain a healthy digital lifestyle.

More Improvements

Optimized the Weather app experience and improved notifications of weather alerts.
With the updated volume control interface, it became possible to set the ringtone and notification sound volumes separately.
When taking consecutive screenshots the preview of the previous screenshot is automatically greyed out.
Camera stability improved.
Enhanced the overall intuitiveness and responsiveness of the system for a more seamless user experience.
Enhanced system stability and better battery life.
