Nothing Phone (1) getting Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 Update
Nothing keeps introducing updates to improve the experience of its users. Nothing has started rolling out the Open Beta 1 update of Nothing OS 2.5 to its Phone 1 users. Nothing announced that the Open Vita update is now available for all Phone 1 users.
Xiaomi Releases December 2023 HyperOS Update Device List
Nothing had recently released the stable update of Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5.1 for Nothing Phone 2. Along with this, Nothing announced that the open beta update for Nothing Phone 1 will be released by the end of this year. Due to this, Nothing has recently started releasing Open Beta 1 of Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 for its Phone (1).
This update released by Nothing has been introduced with the security update of December 2023. This update introduces some improvements along with device optimizations. This update fixes the rest of the features found in Voice while also expanding on some new features. This update upgrades the privacy and security of the device.

- Double-press the customizable power button for quick access to a selected feature. Simply go to Settings > System > Gestures.
- More lock screen shortcut options like Do not disturb, Mute, QR code scanner, and Video camera.
- Capture a screenshot instantly with a three-finger swipe.
- New screenshot editor and menus, allowing more advanced editing features and quick deletion.
New Widgets
- Pedometer widget: Track your daily steps straight from your home screen. Set goals and monitor your progress to stay motivated.
- Media Player Widget: Displays the currently playing song. Easily control your music while on the go.
- Screen Time Widget: Monitor and manage your daily screen time to maintain a healthy digital lifestyle.

- Added a new glyph animation when NFC is being used.
- Improved the flip-to-glyph experience.
- Optimized the Weather app experience and improved notifications of weather alerts.
- Refreshed the back gesture arrow visuals to be more in line with Nothing’s style.
- With the updated volume control interface, it became possible to set the ringtone and notification sound volumes separately.

How to Update Nothing Smartphones
To update your device, go to System Settings of the smartphone, then About Phone, go to OS version, and click on Download and Install.
