Nothing OS 2.6 Now Live for Nothing Phone 1: What’s New

After rolling out the Nothing OS 2.6 update to the Nothing Phone 2 and Nothing Phone 2a, Nothing has started rolling out the update to the Nothing Phone 1 as well. The Nothing OS 2.6 update brings several new improvements, changes, and features along with fixes to some of the common issues found.

Nothing Phone 1 Gets Nothing OS 2.6

The Nothing OS 2.6 update adds 4 new wallpapers to the device, apart from this, it also provides support for deleting wallpaper history in Wallpaper Studio. This latest update comes with a July 2024 security patch.

Added support for rejecting incoming calls displayed as pop-ups during gameplay, support for rejecting third-party app calls and one-way call back to reject regular calls. Also added support for blocking notifications to reduce interruptions during gameplay.

This update also provides optimizations in network power. Also, the issue of overlapping of lock screen display in some situations has been fixed. Its official changelog is shown below.

  • Support for a one-tap callback after rejecting a regular call.
  • Optimized light notifications to show more information during games in landscape mode.
  • Support for blocking notifications during gameplay to reduce distractions.

Bug Fixes

  • Optimized the quick recovery mechanism for blocked data network connections to improve network stability.
  • Fixed an issue where some carriers were allowed to receive calls but not make outgoing calls.
  • Resolved an issue causing overlapping of the Lock Screen display in certain scenarios.
  • Fixed an issue where some apps could not use the Cloned Apps feature properly. Other general bug fixes.
