Almost every smartphone brand is giving an IP rating in its smartphones which indicates the protection of the device from solids and liquids. The highest value of IP rating is IP 68 and IP69 rating.

Motorola Edge 50 gets an IP68 rating. The first digit of the IP rating is 6 which indicates that the device is completely protected from solids i.e. dust and soil, the second digit is 8 which indicates that the device is also safe in case of liquids i.e. water.

Motorola Edge 50 can be submerged in water up to 1 meter deep i.e. the device is completely safe when submerged in water. This makes it clear that the device is completely safe from solids and liquids and the user will not face any trouble.
