Motorola Edge 50 launch with a mid-range price and better specifications in India
Motorola has officially launched Motorola Edge 50 in India. It is the fourth smartphone in the Edge 50 lineup. After the launch, the official specifications, features and price of this device have been shared below. This is Motorola’s first phone that comes with military-grade certification “MIL-STD 810H”.

Motorola Edge 50 will be priced at Rs 27,999 in India. It will be available in a single 8GB RAM 256GB storage variant. The first sale of this device will start on Flipkart on June 8. Users will get a discount of up to ₹ 2000 on Axis credit card.
Motorola Edge 50 has a 6.67-inch pOLED panel which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1900 nits peak brightness. Smart water touch technology has also been included in this device, which the user can use the smartphone even with wet hands. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 has been given to protect the screen.
The thickness of Motorola Edge 50 is 7.79 mm and its weight is 181 grams. The device is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Motorola Edge 50 has a 5000 mAh battery which comes with 68W fast charging, 15W wireless and 5W reverse charging support.
This latest device works with Android 14-based Hello UI. This device is claimed to get two Android OS updates and 3 years of Android security updates. Edge 50 has a 50 MP Sony Lightia 700C primary camera, 10 MP 3x telephoto camera and 13 MP ultra-wide camera, while the front has a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
An in-display fingerprint scanner has been provided to maintain the security of the device. Apart from this, it gets an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water ingress. The device is available in Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz colours with Vegan Leather Back and Koala Gray with Vegan Suede Black.
Motorola Edge 50 also gets Google AI features like Adaptive Stabilization, Smart Color Optimization, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Magic Editor etc.
