The IP rating is a standard mark that indicates the ability of the device to withstand dust and sand particles. Recently Realme has unveiled Realme GT 6T in India which comes with impressive specifications. Due to the impressive specifications, one of the main questions is whether the Realme GT 6T is waterproof.

Is Realme GT 6T Waterproof?
The IP rating is a standard mark that specifies that the device has been tested to withstand the ingress of solids and liquids respectively. Solid ingress is dust or sand particles and liquid ingress is water. The IP rating consists of two digits, the first after the IP rating can range from 0-6, while the second digit ranges from 0-8. The higher the IP rating, the greater the protection.
Realme has introduced the Realme GT 6T device with an IP65 rating, which makes the device dust and water-resistant. The device has an IP65 rating in which the first digit is 6 which indicates that the device can withstand dust and sand particles, i.e. the device is dust resistant.
Along with this, the second digit of the IP rating is 5 which indicates that the device can withstand water splashes, i.e. the device is water resistant, but not waterproof. This means that the Realme GT 6T is dust and water-resistant.
