Google Contacts can now show Real-time Location Information

Google keeps providing updates to improve the experience of users. Google has released a new update for the Google Contact app to improve the experience of its users. This new update has been introduced with a special feature.

Based on reports, Google is expected to show the real-time location of saved contacts by providing an update to its Google Contacts app in the future. This new feature will prove useful in improving the experience of the users.

Google has started rolling out the update related to this new feature. Based on the previous expectation, it was estimated that this update would be released with Android 14 but it did not happen. The build number of this update is 4.22.37.586680692.

Show Real-time Location Feature

With the Google Contact app updated, users will be able to see someone’s location details in real-time. However, Google Contacts lets users choose whether they want to share location data with other users. If they don’t, there is an option to deny permission. The user is allowed location sharing.

Additionally, tapping on the location details redirects to Google Maps and one can navigate to that location. Users also have the option to set a notification when they reach that location.

This update of the Google Contacts app also introduces some new improvements and fixes some box issues found in the previous update. This new feature has been released keeping privacy in mind. The user can turn on or off the shared location data at his convenience. This feature will prove useful for many users.
