They are used to execute arbitrary code, bypass security restrictions, and cause a denial of service on affected systems. The weaknesses, as stated by CERT-In, mainly arise from two issues, which are the use of the side panel search after free and insufficient data validation in the extension.

These make it clear that they are used to bypass security or run malicious code. Additionally, extensions have sufficient input validation to allow the execution of tasks.

Use-After-Free in Side Panel Search: This allows hackers to exploit memory errors. These are used by hackers to bypass security and run malicious code.

Insufficient Data Validation in Extensions: These do not validate the input data properly. Hackers can take advantage of this and carry out unauthorized actions by tampering with the devices.
