Files by Google are receiving this latest feature with the latest update version 1.4955.677425801.0. A “Receive” FAB has been spotted in Files by Google. It includes a ‘Receive’ button and a Quick Share icon on the right just below the scanned FAB. On tapping the FAB, the user will be introduced to the ability to receive a file via Quick Share. Sharing will not start until the user accepts it.
This new sharing shortcut now provides quick access to the sharing feature directly from the main interface. Users can now just tap on the shortcut to share the file, making the process shorter.
This new shortcut allows users to send images, videos, documents, and audio files in just a few steps, saving time and reducing the hassle associated with file sharing.
