Google’s Android 15 Developer Preview 2 reveals that Google will soon start rolling out the beta update of Android 15. Google has pushed the long-term preview with build number AP31.240223.016.A3. Google’s Android 15 Preview 2 is compatible with many Pixel devices.

The changes coming with Android 15 Developer Preview 2 are shared below:

Satellite connectivity: Now users can connect their smartphone to the satellite. A notification will appear once connected. Users can also send and receive SMS/MMS and RCS messages using this feature.

Smoother NFC experience: This update introduces more improvements to NFC than before. The update improves NFC payment experiences to make tap-and-pay experiences more seamless and reliable.

PDF improvements: This update introduces major changes and improvements to PDF. Users can now easily search embedded PDF files. Also, updated rendering of password-protected files, making form editing, selection, and annotation easier.

Cover Screen Support: Foldable smartphones and flippables officially get cover screen support, making the user experience more reliable and seamless. Developers can now add cover screen support to apps.

Screen Record Detection: With this new privacy feature, apps can now easily detect when screen recording is enabled.

Media Refinement: This update also brings improvements to HDR headroom control and loudness control. Users can now set HDR headroom in the Photos app.
